MAC Address

Mac Address stands for Medium Access Control. It is a 48 bit hexadecimal address which is hardcoded into the Network Interface Card ( NIC ).

Eg: CC-2F-71-3E-9C-9D

The first half bits are called Organization Unique Identifiers ( OUI ). These are unique to the organization that created the NIC device.
